Facility and venue hire

Neighbourhood and community centres

Your local neighbourhood and community centre may have a facility, venue or meeting room available to hire for community activities.

Please note that not all centres have facilities or venues available.

Schools are recognised as valuable community resources which can be available for community use, when not required for school purposes. Outside school hours, the use of school facilities by members of the local community for appropriate purposes is encouraged. State school facilities include ovals, grounds, halls, swimming pools, cyclone shelters, classrooms and school equipment.

To contact a school in your local area to check for availability of a venue or facility please visit the Schools Directory.

To ensure appropriate use of school facilities please refer to the Community use of school facilities procedure. The procedure includes a link to the Hire Agreement which is required to be completed for the use of school facilities.

Please note that not all schools have facilities available.
