Information, support and services for older people

Queenslanders want a vibrant and prosperous state where everyone has the opportunity to lead an active lifestyle, live in a healthy and thriving community, and participate in the economy.

Our strategic direction statement, An age-friendly Queensland Strategy ((PDF, 2.4 MB)) An age-friendly Queensland Strategy ((DOCX, 2.8 MB)) outlines the government's approach to achieving its vision of a thriving community where the contributions of seniors are valued and older people are able to lead healthy and productive lives in work, volunteering or retirement. We work with other Queensland Government agencies to implement a range of age-friendly initiatives outlined in the strategy's Action Plan ((PDF, 10.5 MB)) Action Plan ((DOCX, 18.3 MB)).
